Sailing school - Valledoria (Coghinas)

The sailing courses are aimed at anyone (young and old alike) who have little or no knowledge of sailing and also those who want to add to what they already know.

In addition to sailing courses, PlayaSardinia also offers guided excursions in sailing boats either on the open sea or along the River Coghinas (at Valledoria / North Sardinia). The sailing centre is one of the main attractions of the area and a place where people can meet and share their passion and experiences.

The Playasardinia sailing school offers courses at different levels:

Level 1 - elementary course for sailing dinghies: This course is designed for children and adults who want to learn the rudiments of sailing, and it includes both classroom and practical lessons dealing with winds, the local eco-system, safety, rigging and unrigging boats, initial sail settings, changing routes and direction, and roles aboard.

Level 2 - intermediate course for sailing dinghies: This course is aimed at those who have already passed Level One either at Valledoria or at other sailing schools, and it includes lessons on weather, safety, advanced settings and rigging, tacking and gybing, use of outlet buoys, beach launches and mooring.

Level 3 - Advanced course for sailing dinghies: Aimed at those who have already passed Level 2 either at Valledoria or at other sailing schools, and it includes advanced lessons on sailing in strong winds, safety, use of the gennaker, use of the trapeze, improving trim and navigation..

"One to One" courses: This means one instructor and one student = it is the maximum in terms of attention and learning and it is the fastest way to learn all about boat handling.
The ?One to One? dinghy sailing course is available in different formats of 3 - 9 - 12 - 24 hours, divided into sessions of a minimum of three hours.

In addition single sailing trips are available with the Playa Sardinia Watersports team to try your hand at sailing, and to find out more about the marine-lagoon environment within the Foci del Coghinas S.I.C. Area.
